Musicology: Me and the reporter have come up with an idea to bring you the bands and artist which we feel have been droppped, lost  and abandoned.

Musicology Reporter: So think back to 2004.…Who remembers The 411. A four piece British female group best known for their hit Dumb. The band formed in 2003 after two of the band members met whilst performing as back up for Lemar. They were quickly signed by Sony. They released their first single On My Knees which featured Ghost face Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan in 2004 and it reached number 5 in the UK charts impressive for the debut of any British group. Their album Between the Sheets was released shortly afterwards featuring songs written by Diane Warren, Ashanti , Redeye and the girls themselves, but failed to make the big time reaching only number 46 in the UK album chart.

The second single they are best known for was called Dumb ,it reached number 3 in the UK charts and also featured on the advert for Lux bath products which starred Sarah Jessica Parker. Their third single failed to make the top ten peaking at number 23, theyre only other notable track was a cover of the SWV hit Weak.

They were dropped after disappointing sales in 2005 and officially split. Only band member Suzie Furlonger has been since as a backing vocalist for artists such as Leona Lewis, Peabo Bryson , Take That and Candi Staton she also appeared on the X-factor 08 getting the last 6 of the over 25s but failed to make the live finals.
